Registering and Logging In

Access to the CLIPP cases is limited to users at institutions involved in medical education. Link to information on subscribing to CLIPP.

Note: For those interested in Individual Subscriptions, please click here. The registering directions below are for those from subscribing institutions. The other Help topics below apply to all users.

For Institutions: To obtain access to the CLIPP cases, we will need to know the e-mail domain of the students who will be using CLIPP. Medical educators should contact clippsupport@i-intime.org to request access for their students. Registration from sites that are not recognized will not be accepted by the system. If this happens to you inappropriately, please contact us at the same address.

Once you have registered, you can log in to the CLIPP cases using your new login and password. Note: Please register only once!

Registering to use CLIPP (for institutional users)
  1. Click Go to Cases at left. The CLIPP login page will open.
  2. Click the register link, which appears at the bottom of the box
  3. The CLIPP Registration window will open.
  4. In the top box, type your medical school e-mail address (i.e., Jane.Doe@medicalschool.edu), your first name and your last name. Enter your status in the last field.
  5. Read the CLIPP Site User Terms and Conditions in the bottom box.
  6. Click Accept or Decline, then click OK.
  7. If you clicked Accept, the system immediately will send you a Login and Password (a randomly generated 6-digit number) in two e-mail messages. The e-mail messages come from clippcases@instruct.de. Be sure to save the login and password for future use. Your login name cannot be changed. To edit your password, see the instructions for "Changing your password" below. Return to Top
Logging in to CLIPP after you register (all users)

Reopening a Case
If you left a case without finishing it, when you open the case again, it will open at the last completed card.

For those who registered for CLIPP before February 2006, it's a bit different: There will be a session for each time you opened the case. If you left a case and want to start where you left off, on the case selection page click the Resume session link below the name of the author as shown below:

The case opens at the last-completed card. Return to Top

Forgot your login?
The system will not send you your login again. But in almost every case, your login will be your last name, a hyphen, and the first 2 letters of your first name. So Walter Isikoff's login is most likely isikoff-wa. If this syntax doesn't work for you, please write to clippsupport@i-intime.org. Return to Top
