Final Exam Questions

Questions in the CLIPP final exam are based directly on the teaching points and learning objectives of the CLIPP cases. The questions were initially written by each case author, but have undergone extensive review and revision by members of the CLIPP Editorial Board.

We anticipate that clerkships will use these questions in different ways: Some will use all of the questions for a final exam; some will use a selected subset of the questions for a final exam; and some will use questions relating to a specific case as a quiz. The Final Exam Questions are provided in three formats to assist clerkship directors in using these questions in their clerkships:

• CLIPP Final Exam Item Bank: This document shows the full complement of Final Exam Questions, organized by the CLIPP cases they are derived from. This document includes the correct answers with each question. Based on individual clerkship needs, questions from this exam can be compiled into customized exams as needed. (Word version only)


• CLIPP Final Exam: This 100-question final exam will work for the majority of clerkships. This includes an assortment of questions from each case, and is presented in random order. The PDF version can be printed and used for an exam. (PDF version only)


• CLIPP final Exam With Answers: This is the 100-question exam, but with check marks next to the correct answers. It might be helpful in reviewing the exam with students. A separate shows the key at a glance. (PDF versions only)
